T20 World Cup: Shadab Khan discusses the Shakib dismissal controversy
ADELAIDE: Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has spoken out over the controversial run-out of Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan during the two teams' pivotal final T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 match on Sunday at the Adelaide Oval.
Shakib Al Hasan was given out lbw by Shadab's bowling, but when he appealed the ruling, it looked from the video that the ball had just touched the bat before striking the pad. Nevertheless, the third umpire supported the original judgment.
Shakib waved his hands and appeared in shock, refusing to go.
After the first inning, Shadab declared, "Umpires gave it out. Therefore it's out [Shakib's ruling]."
